International AdmissionS

Application process

International applicants at UNCG must meet our regular admissions requirements based on degree type and academic program, in addition to providing some additional official documents to the admissions office.

Financial aid and scholarships

UNCG offers a limited number of one-year, merit-based scholarships to new incoming international students. This award is renewable for one additional year, based on merit, and no separate application is required. Recipients will be notified on March and June for Fall semester, and September and December for Spring semester.

Additional financial aid is not available for non-U.S. Citizens, however, admitted students are encouraged to apply for jobs on campus or in the local area which are posted on the Handshake platform.

After admission

International and domestic students follow a similar checklist of tasks after being admitted, including setting up their official UNCG accounts and getting set for orientation and registration. Additionally, international students may need to secure a visa and/or other documents.
