SPECIAL MESSAGE REGARDING COVID-19:
Out of an abundance of caution and in consultation with local, state, and federal experts and authorities, UNC Greensboro has taken several steps regarding the health and safety of our visitors. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has canceled all on-campus tours and events until further notice. While we are disappointed we won’t have the opportunity to host future Spartans on campus at the moment, this action is consistent with decisions being made around the country.
The best way to experience UNCG is to visit campus! In addition to getting a guided, up-close look at UNCG’s campus, you’ll have the opportunity to join an information session and meet with an admissions counselor.
Register for a tour
Tours are offered year-round Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (Note that we occasionally adjust the tour schedule to accommodate demand and university closures. We also offer some Saturday tours.) Because space is limited, we encourage you to register in advance.
Group tours: Groups of 10 or more should visit the Group Tours page for more information about requirements for visiting groups.
Tour location & Time Frame
All tours leave from the Undergraduate Admissions tour presentation space in Spring Garden Apartments. Spring Garden Apartments (a residence hall on the UNCG campus) are located at 1540 Spring Garden St., adjacent to the Armfield-Preyer Admissions & Visitor Center. (Note: Tours do not leave from the Visitor Center.)
Please allow at least 2.5 hours for your visit.
Tours begin and end in the Undergraduate Admissions’ tour presentation space in Spring Garden Apartments. We’ll start with an information session, where you’ll learn:
- Why students choose UNCG
- Overview of academic offerings
- Admission requirements
- Application information
- Next steps in the enrollment process (housing, financial aid, and orientation)
At the tour’s conclusion, you will receive an information packet personalized to your academic interest. If you’d like to meet with an admissions counselor at the end of your tour, staff are available at the Armfield-Preyer Admissions & Visitor Center, home of the Undergraduate Admissions office.
If you wish to visit with an academic department, sit in on a class, or learn more about UNCG’s Division I sports teams, please call our office (336.334.5243) prior to your visit. We’ll provide you with a contact on our campus so that you can arrange the optional activities that interest you.
If you are excelling in high school and want to make the most of your college experience, plan to visit UNCG on an Honors Friday. In addition to taking a campus tour, you’ll attend an information session about UNCG’s Lloyd International Honors College, a vibrant, on-campus intellectual and social community. Visit the Honors Friday page for dates and details.
