Meet Our Spartan Guides

KatieKatie T.

Major: Interior Architecture with a minor in Nutrition
Anticipated graduation: Fall 2019

Hometown: Raleigh, N.C.

Motto: Do it with passion or not at all.

Goals: To graduate college and pursue a career in design.

Why I chose UNCG: The diversity — there are so many different kinds of people and personalities on campus! It was so easy to fit in.

Best UNCG moment (so far): Getting accepted into a sorority and running to them on bid day! Such an overwhelming memory!

Biggest UNCG surprise (so far): Being accepted into the Interior Architecture program!

Favorite place on campus: The meditation room in the Elliott University Center. I love going there in between classes and studying or just relaxing for a bit.

On weekends: I either spend time with some of my sisters or go to the gym and play basketball.

Favorite class: My Interior Architecture studio class — we create so many different kinds of projects, and I am really able to branch out and be creative.

Student involvement: Sigma Sigma Sigma, club women's basketball, co-ed intramural basketball, Lloyd International Honors College.

Favorite campus eats: Wild Greens, especially my tomato-basil wrap.

Favorite Greensboro activity: Going to Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball games in the springtime.

If I could have a superpower, it would be: To fly — there wouldn't be any traffic up there!

My advice for future Spartans: Try new things and soak up every moment. College is such an amazing experience and it goes fast. Make sure to be present and cherish all the new memories!
