Major: Communication Studies with a double minor in English and Media Studies

Graduation Year: Fall 2017

Hometown, State: Bermuda Run, N.C.

My personal motto is: "There are only the pursued, the pursuing, the busy and the tired." – F. Scott Fitzgerald

My goals are: To empower others and become a financially successful entrepreneur.

I selected UNCG because: My older brother attends UNCG, and I fell in love with the campus the minute I stepped foot on it during my sophomore year of high school.

My best UNCG moment: Move-In day is likely my favorite memory because I finally felt like a college student and the entire day feels so surreal in retrospect.

My biggest surprise at UNCG: Never would I have imagined that I would be involved in Greek Life while I was in high school, but I saw it as an opportunity to grow and to meet new people, and it has far exceeded my expectations.

My favorite place on campus: My favorite place on campus is the fountain located behind the EUC. The area is very relaxing, and I find myself to be far more productive when working on assignments there.

On the weekends: I like to explore UNCG as well as Greensboro on the weekends because there are always events going on.

My favorite class: My favorite course has been "Intro to Sociology" with Steven O'Boyle. The class was extremely beneficial to me as I transitioned into college, as I learned a lot about myself and the interpersonal relationships we build with those around us.

I am involved in: I am a member of the fraternity ambda Chi Alpha as well as a member of Inter-Fraternity Council. During this upcoming year, I will serve as an RA in Ragsdale Hall.

My favorite food on campus: Ghassan's in the EUC. The souvlaki is delicious.

Favorite thing to do in Greensboro: I greatly enjoy going to the Ice House, an indoor ice-skating rink located off Wendover Avenue.

If I could have a superpower, it would be: I would like to be able to read minds. I feel like I would be a lot less awkward if I knew what other people were thinking.

My one piece of advice for prospective students is: Wherever you go, become involved. My first year at UNCG would not have been anywhere near as enjoyable as it was had I not chosen to go to events and participate in the ample opportunities offered here.
