Please allow at least two hours for your visit. Also, note that we occasionally adjust the tour schedule to accommodate demand and university closures. We highly recommend registering in advance for tours.

Each campus tour visit includes the activities below.

Groups of 10 or more: Visit the Group Tours page

Tours begin and end in the Dail Room of the Elliott University Center. An admissions counselor will present the highlights of UNCG and answer questions. You'll learn why students choose UNCG, admission requirements, application information, and the next steps in the enrollment process (housing, financial aid, and orientation).

Campus walking and riding tour

To see the most of our campus, you’ll take a walking tour of our campus core then board our Future Spartan Shuttle to see even more of our facilities. Our Spartan Guides will lead both portions of your tour so that you can see UNCG through the eyes of current students. You'll learn about campus history and traditions as you visit a residence hall room (when available), an academic building, the dining hall, our wellness center, and much more.

*Due to space constraints on our tour shuttle, we ask that you limit your number of guests to 4 people (not including the student) when making your tour reservation.

Q&A with an admissions counselor

Tours conclude at the Dail Room, where you will receive a packet of information personalized to your academic interest. Admissions staff are available at the Armfield-Preyer Admissions & Visitor Center, home of the Undergraduate Admissions office, if you desire to talk with an admissions counselor at the end of your tour.

Optional activities

If you wish to visit with an academic department, sit in on a class or learn more about UNCG's Division I sports teams, please call our office (336.334.5243) prior to your visit. We provide you with a contact on our campus so that you can arrange the optional activities that interest you.

Honors Fridays

If you are excelling in high school and want to make the most of your college experience, visit UNCG on Honors Friday! In addition to taking a campus tour, you’ll attend an information session about UNCG’s Lloyd International Honors College, a vibrant intellectual and social community on campus. Visit the Honors Friday page for dates and details.
