Spartan StartUp

Get a head start on your UNCG degree this summer with Spartan StartUp. All expenses for Spartan StartUp (tuition, fees, room and board, and books) are fully covered thanks to grant funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and from the Federal Pell Grant. Throughout the five week program, participants will:

  • Earn credit for two college courses
  • Receive individualized academic advising and support
  • Connect with peers and peer mentors
  • Become familiar with the UNCG campus
  • Participate in a variety of extracurricular activities
  • Acquire the tools necessary for college success

Participation in Spartan StartUp is by invitation only, and participants will need to file a 2017-18 FAFSA and RSVP to the program on Spartanlink. Questions or requests for more information about the program can be directed to startup@uncg.edu.
