Transfers - How To Apply | UNCG Admissions
You are considered a transfer student if you have 24 or more college credit hours from an accredited institution and are eligible to return to the last institution you attended. Students can transfer credits into UNC Greensboro through courses taken at regionally accredited insitutions and/or placement tests. Learn more about how to apply as a Transfer Student below.

Transfer Application Requirements

Please note: Students with fewer than 24 credit hours must meet freshman admission standards, which include review of an official high school transcript and standardized test scores. (SAT/ACT score requirements are optional for 2022 applicants.)

Application Deadlines

Please follow posted application deadlines. Applications will be considered, space permitting, on a rolling basis. You will be notified in writing of your admission decision.

After reviewing your application, we will let you know if we require additional information. We must receive any requested items by our application deadlines. Because we typically require four to six weeks to review all applications, we strongly encourage you to apply well in advance of the deadline.
