Campus tours/events are canceled at this time. Our offices are still open and our staff is available remotely to assist you.

What a week! As all of you have scrambled to adjust to online learning and social distancing, my team has been working on new ways to make sure we can stay in touch. We’re forwarding office calls to recruiters’ cell phones. We’re opening new text messaging options. And we’re developing virtual tours so you can experience campus from wherever you are. Bottom Line: We are here for you, and you are our priority.

During the past few days, I’ve heard from many students and parents with concerns about your college applications. I want to reassure each of you that no student’s application will be penalized as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are all in uncharted territory, and we’re going to work through this together. Here are couple of things you should know:

  • First, we will not be able to collect campus mail after Friday. That means we are relaxing requirements for some of the official documents we need to complete your application. Right now, we’re taking unofficial documents through email so we can get your admission decision as quickly as possible.
  • Second, we are aware of disruptions in the schedule for SAT and ACT testing. If you were planning on taking one of these tests and it is affecting your ability to update or complete your application, just call or text and let us know.

At UNCG we pride ourselves in creating a culture of care for our students. Throughout this crisis, I can say that I’ve been humbled to be part of such an institution. Our leadership has acted swiftly yet compassionately to ensure our campus community remains safe. Our faculty have come together to invent new ways for our students to continue learning. And staff and students have forged a strong support system to keep each other’s spirits up in this time of uncertainty.

I hope my team can serve as an extension of UNCG’s culture of care to you. Start by checking out our Virtual Visit Options page on the admissions website for contact information for your regional recruiter, virtual tour videos, and upcoming Q&A sessions we’ll be scheduling in the coming days. For quick answers to your questions, text us at 336.770.2431 or email

We look forward to working with you online over the next few weeks, and seeing you on our campus again very soon! Kind Regards and… Go Spartans!
