Vyvyanne D.Vyvyanne D.

Major: Hospitality and Tourism Management

Graduation Year: 2013

Hometown: Wilmington, North Carolina

My goals are: To graduate UNCG, to truly impact at least one person's life, and to live life to the fullest!

I selected UNCG because: of the beautiful campus and the diversity in the student body. Also the campus is far enough away from home to allow me to be independent.

My best UNCG moment: My entire freshman year! Starting a new chapter in my life and experiencing the college life in general. It was so awesome meeting all the new people, making friends that turn into family and getting involved on campus. Plus the first experience of living in a dorm and having a college workload. It was such an unforgettable time.

My biggest surprise at UNCG: How easy it was to get involved and how much the campus and programs have to offer the students! Greek Life is on campus is amazing, and the amount of philanthropic events that they are involved in is amazing too.

My favorite place on campus: hands down is the fountain. The perfect time to be at the fountain is between classes, there are always people there and never a dull moment.

My favorite class: is my Sociology of Deviant Behavior class. The professor was extraordinary, and it was such an interesting class. It really got me out of my comfort zone and made me think outside of the norm.

I am involved in: intramural sports, Spartan Guides, and Alpha Delta Pi sorority.

If I could have a superpower, it would be: After hours of deliberation, I think I would want the
power of immortality so I can be forever young!

My one piece of advice for prospective students is: to enjoy every minute of college, never let a good opportunity pass you! Get involved on campus through organizations and clubs. Put yourself out there, and be yourself! Oh, and invest in a rain jacket, because you have to go to class rain or shine, it comes in handy!
