Major: Anthropology; minor in History

Hometown: Pikeville, North Carolina

I selected UNCG because: I liked the open-minded and inviting atmosphere. Also, it's a beautiful campus.

My favorite place on campus: The Foust building, because it houses the Honors College and the International Programs Center; I have been spending a lot of time in these offices because they are helping me prepare to study abroad in the near future!

My favorite class: HSS 107, The Personal and Political Intersections of Women's Lives. Through this class my professor, Beth Walker, inspired me to teach college in the future through her innovative teaching techniques, her passion for the subject material, and her commitment to her students.

I am involved in: Lloyd International Honors College, UNCG Sapphires, Student Anthropological Society, National Society of Leadership and Success, University Speaking Center.

Favorite thing to do in Greensboro: Listening to jazz music downtown.
