Daniel R.
Major: Accounting with a minor in Information Systems
Graduation Year: 2013
Hometown: Charlotte, North Carolina
My personal motto is: Take nothing for granted and live life to the fullest; after all, it’s the only one you have.
My goals are: To own a fast food restaurant franchise
I selected UNCG because: UNCG offers nothing but the best. My mother graduated from UNCG and my father took classes here, so it's like I'm following in my parents' footsteps.
My best UNCG moment: Can my whole experience at UNCG be a moment? I couldn't ask for a better time at college than what I've received at UNCG. People are wonderful, professors care about you, and making new friends is so easy.
My biggest surprise at UNCG: I thought meeting people and making new friends would be hard on a fairly large campus; however, I was wrong. It seems I make a new friend every day.
My favorite place on campus: The library. I can go there if I ever need to study with no one bothering me, or I can go there with a group of people to study together.
On the weekends I: Wake up late, work, study, and hang out with friends on and off campus
My favorite class: Badminton, because not only was it a great way to get rid of stress, but it was also fun to learn a new sport.
I am involved in: 103.1 WUAG (College Radio)
My favorite food on campus: Salsarita's
Favorite thing to do in Greensboro: Hang out downtown with friends
If I could have a superpower, it would be: Flying, because I could get to class faster!
My one piece of advice for prospective students is: Attack college with a drive to learn and a mind that is open because you never know what you'll learn in or out of the classroom.
