We invite you to schedule a campus tour so that you can see our beautiful campus for yourself.
Tours are held at 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and, additionally, at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Group tours are offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday and at 3 p.m. Wednesday. We offer occasional Saturday tours throughout the year.
Please allow at least two hours for your visit. Each campus tour visit includes the activities below.
Tours begin in the Dail Room of the Elliott University Center. An admissions counselor will present the highlights of UNCG and answer questions. You'll learn why students choose UNCG, admission requirements, application information, and the next steps in the enrollment process (housing, financial aid, and orientation).
Campus walking tour
Our Spartan Guides will lead your walking tour so that you can see UNCG through the eyes of current students. Learn about campus history and traditions as you visit a residence hall room (when available), an academic building, the dining hall, and much more.
Q&A with an admissions counselor
Tours end at the Armfield-Preyer Admissions & Visitor Center, home of the Undergraduate Admissions office. You will receive a packet of information personalized to your academic interest and have the opportunity to talk with an admissions counselor.
If you wish to visit with an academic department, sit in on a class or learn more about UNCG's Division I sports teams, please call our office (336.334.5243) prior to your visit. We provide you with a contact on our campus so that you can arrange the optional activities that interest you.
If you are excelling in high school and want to make the most of your college experience, visit UNCG on Honors Friday! In addition to taking a campus tour, you’ll attend an information session about UNCG’s Lloyd International Honors College, a vibrant intellectual and social community on campus. Visit the Honors Friday page for dates and details.
Register for your tour online through SpartanLink.
Groups of 10 or more should visit the Group Tours page for instructions on how to schedule a campus visit.
PLEASE NOTE: Tours do NOT leave from the Visitor Center; all tours leave from the Dail Room of the Elliott University Center (EUC) unless otherwise indicated. The EUC is located at 507 Stirling Street, directly across from the Walker Avenue Parking Deck.
Tour dates may be added or deleted depending on university holidays, events, and student demand. Please register at least one week in advance of the tour.
