Office of Disability Services
Students admitted to the university with documented disabilities are strongly encouraged to inquire about registration with the Office of Disability Services (ODS). In keeping with Section 504 of The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and The Americans with Disabilities Act, ODS provides a full range of academic accommodations to qualified students with disabilities.
Students desiring further information may complete a Voluntary Disability Disclosure form or email ods@uncg.edu. Information submitted to or obtained by ODS is strictly confidential.
Student Health Services provides cost-effective primary and preventive health care in a convenient on-campus setting. Board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, physicians’ assistants, and registered nurses staff the medical clinic. Counseling, offered by licensed psychologists, counselors, and social workers, is available through the Counseling and Testing Center. Psychiatric services are also available and provided by board-certified psychiatrists.
Health insurance
UNCG students in degree programs taking six or more main campus credit hours must demonstrate proof of health insurance. Students who do not provide this proof will be enrolled in a campus-endorsed student health insurance policy and billed $390 per semester. For more information, please visit studenthealth.uncg.edu.
Student Medical/Immunization Form
In order to protect the general health of the university community, the General Assembly of North Carolina passed a law which mandates that students present a documented record of immunization. If you fail to present this record of immunization, your registration will be cancelled. Therefore, it is critical for you to meet this requirement in a timely fashion.
